Merry Christmas

Well, guess you noticed I haven't been around.... I've been busy getting ready for Christmas....baking, buying, and wrapping. I just love this time of year even though it is so hectic. To make it more perfect, we got snow yesterday and it looks just like a picture when the lights twinkle on the snow covered bushes.

I want to wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas and a healthy and Happy New Year.
Hope to be around here more after the holidays....

Hugs,
Marie

OOOPS, I goofed!

I was told by a very sweet woman that the address for sending Christmas cards to recovering soldiers was a spoof. I'm really sorry I didn't check Snopes before posting it here.....If anyone has the correct address to send cards to our recovering heroes, please post a comment on here and I will make the change.
Sorry again, and thanks so much for visiting my blog.

Hugs,
Marie

I received this from a dear friend who writes a newsletter for her neighborhood, and she asked me to pass this along....It is my sincere pleasure to do so. I have a very soft spot in my heart for Veterans as my Dear Husband served his country for 25 years and I am very proud of him and every man and woman who helps keep our Dear Country of the United States of America a free place to live.

Thanksgiving
A day for family, food,
parades and football.
This year as you
give thanks please,

A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS CARD

I received this in an email and thought it was such a wonderful idea, I wanted to pass it on here in the hopes we can get thousands of Christmas cards to the courageous men and women who put their lives at risk for our safety.

When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one card and
send it to this address. If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get.

When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please include the following:

A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
Washington, D.C. 20307-5001

If you approve, please pass it on.
